Her God Became My God

I am so excited to do this blog this evening because I am hoping that someone, somewhere needs to hear this just as much as I did :)

A married couple from Gabon inspired me to realize that their God is my God and is SO alive and able to do what we allow him to do!
Gerald explained how he was religious and did believe in God but never had his own personal relationship in God - until God became "real" in his life! 
How his wife Berty persuaded him to give her God a try - they are studying IT and live off money that the government supplies them with which used to be just enough to survive.
They often wondered how they were going to make it each month - so Berty had an idea for them to trust God - but in order for it to work Gerald needed to agree to do what Berty was about to ask him!

She said that they were to tithe a tenth of what they have been given by the government which seemed totally   insane to Gerald as it were they were struggling to just make it each month. He decided to give her God a try - lol but in the back of his mind he was actually trying to prove a point that she was wrong. However her God proved himself by blessing them with finance - an amount just appeared in their bank account, they called all their family members to find out if they have deposited the money in their bank account and all said no! It was from that moment that Her God became his God!

Today they stand in unity and trust and serve one God, they have a car, renting their own home, have a small business and have no financial lack.

Sometimes we forget that God is real because we do not see him, so we forget or loose hope that he really is there! This couple touched my life because I realized that the same God they were telling me about is my God. That I need to completely need to trust when I ask him for something he is able to do! 
I need to trust him whole heatedly and realize that  God is real, God is able, God is willing!

Speaking to two ordinary people who don't even need to say much because their lives, joy, peace and love for one another tell you about how awesome this God of ours really is!

I dare you to take this challenge with me, let my God become your God. Ask him to do something for you - follow his word and ask him to keep his promises. Believe that he is your heavenly father and wants to do for you as a dad wants to do for his child. 

Berty & Gerald thank you for reminding me that God is alive and real - Jesus Christ - You are amazing and I am totally excited about putting my trust in you, following your word and expecting something to happen and being amazed by the outcome knowing that my God is real!
